I have just embarked on this voyage. In all my readings (and listenings), I haven't seen any mention of this term. The closest greek word for 'leader' is where I got agology. I just feel that there needs to be a term for the study of leadership. This term might be the wrong one. The more advanced pedagogues might come up with the accurate one. But this is what I have found or can concoct so far.
Leadership is a science. That section in libraries and books stores is already huge and growing. We have more speakers and writers on the topic in this day and age than all the previous centuries combined. There are colleges and universities that offer this field of study as a degree.
In classical greek, cardia, is the word for both the physical and emotional heart. So, if the pool of leadership gurus choose the term 'agology', cardio-agology will be a sub-study.
I do not claim to have studied it at length or have written about it. I am still a student of leadership even if I have been a leader since day 1 of my life. I have had a very fulfilling experience in being a leader. In all my reminiscings, I have led with my heart.
Here then is a resident fellow of the University of Life's Hard Knocks organizing my thoughts on leadership and the heart........(fanfare music...taaadddaaannnm!!!!!)CARDIOAGOLOGY!
