In the Life Realm Man is Leader-designate

Who is really being led by who? That is the question!
There is the movement for women's rights. There is this eternal battle of the sexes. This blog is not against reforms in societal structures that oppress women. This is to put men and women roles in proper perspective.
The false assumption is that when the dice of gender leadership was rolled, it favored the male. There is the perceived need to ditch the Book. The book SEEMS to favor the oppressive male leadership dominance.
Before we throw the baby with the bathwater, we should be clear as to which is what. Beyond the book, we know that, yes the men are the head. But the undeniable truth is that women are the necks. They turn the head. The queens and princesses have also ruled the territory. Egalitarianism does exist.
A shout from a mountain to echo on the valley to the next hill is this message:the Book really prescribes that the husband and maledom be servant leaders. Husbands are even asked in Scriptures to give.... to love their wives as they love themselves. They are to give their lives for the other. This is a truth that should cause feminine salvation.
The ladies' world(even when they are CEO's or country's Presidents) are to use their uniquely-women leadership styles to meet for the 50% which men can't do. Both are to be stewards of the biosphere. Both are to make themselves prosperous out of the goldmine of human, plant, animal and elemental resource. God was to be the benevolent Commander-in-Chief. Both were to be leader-partners.
We know the story. Adam and Eve were vying for Commander-in-thief status. Out of their self-centered egos, each wanted to get out of a leadership partnership. Partnership in leadership means a lot of humility. But, one was jockeying position over the other. The Eden story can be made into a graphic movie of that struggle that led to the demise of mankind.
We see that movie replayed and lived out today: Spousal abuse, divorce, paricide, matricide, suicide, husband killing wives and vice versa, children bludgeoning parents, incest, abused and neglected children, single parenting, co-dependency....... the list continues ad nauseam.
God did not make ONLY male. God did not make ONLY female. The Book says MALE AND FEMALE are to be stewards and enjoyers of the the biosphere. In the brokenness of mankind the Three Musketteer Rule must be followed: "One for all and all for one!" That is how we are to play in the post-Edenic world. As leaders we are to make sure that no one is left behind. We are to lead as men and women with our uniquely developed selves hewn out through life's experieces.
We are to lead ourselves as individuals, our families, our villages, our tribes, our nation and the international community. We use the word community because that is appropriate. Society is premised on the principle of laws. Community is premised on the principle of love. We are to lead in love. We are servants, in this realm, to people. We gather our Return of Investments out of our service.
In the midst of these chaos, there are movements that equip leadership. Church, religion, schools and institution for intellectual development, NGO's, governments and many more... all these are very important.
We are social beings. To that, we are social leaders, all of us. We are accountable in this matter. We cannot let go or go out of this responsibility.
That was the first realm where mankind is leader-designate: over its fellow human beings.
We are also to lead in the care of the plant, animal and inanimate world. Adam and Eve was given the responsibility to give names to each of these. One of the most caring tasks we all do is the naming of children. People cannot go through life without a name and make a name for himself/or herself. That was to be the task for Leader-designate team of Man and Woman. They were to name plants and animals, that is to give them value.
The sad sequel to this story is that out of greed, lust and pride, we see the flagrant abuse of Mother Nature.
The extreme stupidity to this picture is when stuff controls the leader. We cannot debate with the truth of what the Book says:"The Love of Money is the root of all evils". We are not totally in a material world. We are not only material girls, boys, men and women. There is an undeniable non-material Self that lives in the material us. By design, we are leaders over stuff. We are to be managers of nature not ruled by it.
When leadership does not balance the value of people and material, we see human suffering rise up. And yes, we have lost so much in the Human Territory of Resource Stewardship.
As leader-designates, we have the wonderful responsibility of managing people and stuff.
These are the areas where we have control.
Leadership and control are mutually inclusive. If you control so much, you might lose your leadership. If you lead so much as to be without control, you lose leadership. We are to have a controlled leadership so we will have influence. We cannot control and lead. We can point directions to lead.
Control needs to be intertwined with leadership. This is how it is.
We can completely control ourselves. We can control our reactions. We can control habits that we can develop. We can control what we pipe-in into our leadership knowledge. This is the first level. This is the level one can completely control.
The next area are people. One can control some people some of the time. But we can never control all people all of the time. But we can be influential and trailblaze for people. This is where many place leadership. Leadership is to have the integrity so one can influence others.
The next area where the variables are getting so out-of-hand is the nature around us. We can subject them to a controlled-environment. But Mother Nature in general has a mind of her own.
But the genius of mankind is inventiveness. We harness the wildness of nature into opportunities.
There it is.
There is a Cosmic Leader. We are leaders in the biosphere. As we do this, we have realized that everything is of, by, and for the Cosmic Leader. But even if one does not believe in a worldview of Intelligent Design, all of us can agree that we are Leaders in the Life Realm.
